About Us
Smooth Sailing Tours is a fully accessible pontoon boat experience, and is uniquely designed to support people with disabilities through active engagement in a safe, natural outdoor setting.
We work as a team to navigate and ensure a safe trip, with each participant receiving special roles on board the boat. Creating an excellent environment to work together as a team, building confidence, self-esteem, and social skills along the way. The skills, relationships, and memories gained on our tours are specially designed to encourage independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.
Who is Smooth Sailing Tours for?
NDIS Participants
Community Day Centres
Smooth Sailing Tours can be charged through NDIS funding through your NDIS-registered provider.
If Social and Community Participation or Group Activities align with the participants goals outlined in care plan then the tours can be funded through a one-off Innovative Community Participation.
Home Care Package Participants
Home Care Packages are not designed to support general activities and entertainment.
Though if attending a social event helps you maintain your mental wellbeing, and directly relates to your ACAT needs and goals, as outlined in your care plan, this tour can be included in Home Care Package Funding.
It is best to discuss specific social activities with your Home Care Package provider to determine if they can be funded.
We warmly welcome NDIS Day Centres looking to add unique, inclusive experiences to their programs. Smooth Sailing Tours offers a safe, fun, and meaningful outing that supports social participation, teamwork, and skill-building. Let’s work together to create unforgettable days on the water for your participants.
Private Tours
Looking for something more personal? Smooth Sailing Tours also offers private pontoon boat experiences tailored to individuals, families, or small groups. Whether it’s a relaxing day on the water, a special occasion, or simply quality time with loved ones, our tours provide a peaceful and accessible way to explore the Gold Coast’s beautiful Broadwater.

A safe tour for all
All participants must be accompanied by their own support worker or carer. For group bookings, the support worker-to-participant ratio must reflect the level of support outlined in each participant’s care plan.
We kindly ask that relevant documentation is provided prior to your tour. This will help us prepare appropriately for your needs on the day.
